- Conductive Grease A lubricant applied to electrical connections to reduce corrosion and improve conductivity.
- Conservator Tank An auxiliary tank that provides space for insulating oil expansion and contraction due to temperature changes.
- Cooling Radiators External panels or fins on transformers that dissipate heat from insulating oil.
- Core The magnetic backbone of the transformer, made of laminated steel sheets to guide magnetic flux and reduce energy losses.
- Corrosion The gradual destruction of metal due to chemical reactions, often seen on battery terminals and fasteners.
- Cracked Insulation A condition where the protective coating of electrical wires or battery casings has deteriorated.

- DC Circuit A direct current circuit in which electricity flows in one direction.
- Dielectric Strength The maximum voltage an insulating material can withstand before it breaks down and conducts electricity.
- DOT Placards Labels required for transporting hazardous materials, including flammable liquids and batteries, following Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

- Emergency Action Plan A written plan that includes evacuation routes, fire response procedures, and employee responsibilities during an emergency.
